The City of Satellite Beach offers a variety of Special Events throughout the year through our Recreation Department as well as through our strong community partnerships.

PLANNING AN EVENT IN SATELLITE BEACH?

The Recreation Department exists to serve the community and to guide event planners through the special event permitting procedure.

Any  special events, such as surf/skate contests, runs/walks, parades, block parties and citywide holiday celebrations that take place on both City Owned Property or Non-City Owned Property are initiated with our office.

For the safety and well-being of participants and the public, the City of Satellite Beach requires submission of a Special Event Application along with a to-scale Site Plan for both City Owned Property events and Non-City Owned Property events.

PLANNING A BEACH CEREMONY?

Have your ceremony in the sand on one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida.

A beach ceremony permit is required if one or more of the following applies to your event.

  • Event is generating income from attendees
  • Over 25 attendees
  • Commercial support provided. Equipment, tents, arch, chairs, generators etc. (These are not provided by the city, but are allowed.)
