Jean Lees came to Melbourne Florida from Manchester England as an experienced Nanny. With a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. Nanny Jean had a vision to bring pristine education to Brevard county. In 2002, together with her husband Eric, she established Nanny Jean’s Academy in Melbourne, with family being the focus of the company.

Nanny Jean’s Academy can proudly say that, throughout the last 22 years, we’ve continued to partner with Parents to help nurture, educate, and care for their children of all ages.

Generations in our community have successfully graduated from our Early Childhood program further equipped academically, socially, and emotionally. We welcome you and your child to come and be a part of our school family, where we encourage open conversation, parental engagement, respect for one another, and endless love for the children we educate.

Nanny Jean’s Academy has been like family to us. They are loving and caring, have excellent communication and safety is a top priority. This has been our first daycare experience but I can’t picture our child anywhere else. Other daycares finally opened spots on their waiting list for us and we turned them down to stay at Nanny Jean’s. Our child loves the staff and friends there and she’s very happy. I wouldn’t take that away from her.
The staff at Nanny Jean’s have made us feel like family. The space feels safe, is clean and my children sincerely enjoy attending the program. What we love most are the learning and social activities that our children get to participate in. Not only do they come home with fun activities that we can archive or hang on our fridge, but most importantly with new knowledge and skills. If you are looking for a daycare that feels safe, secure, well organized, and communicative, where your children are constantly learning, happy, and having fun—I would highly recommend Nanny Jean’s Academy.
My oldest child attended VPK at Nanny Jeans and my youngest has been there since age 1. I love the teachers and staff and most importantly my children love it there. The curriculum is great and my kids have learned so much! Communication is top notch with pictures, and messages throughout the day with quick responses!
As a first time mom, I was terrified of putting my baby in a daycare, but within the first week of leaving my baby at nanny jeans academy I felt like I made a great decision leaving her in their care. They update you all day long on how the baby is doing with feeding and changing etc on an app that they use. They also are able to send me pictures through the app and message me for anything the baby may need or if she’s just having a good time that day. Every morning when I drop her off they seem so excited to see my baby and when I pick her up she is all smiles. The teachers are very loving and caring and they do little activities and art work with them that they send home which makes a working mommas heart happy. I can’t recommend them enough, at this point it’s been such a positive experience for us!
Amazing! My son attended Nanny Jean’s since he was one years old. We always had such great experiences. He loved going everyday. Mrs. Deborah was always there to help us along the way. Teachers were all great! I will always refer Nanny Jean’s as a place you can feel safe and confident leaving your little ones in their care! My son is off to Elementary school but I will forever be grateful for the comfort Nanny Jean’s allowed me to feel!
It is so difficult to find people that you can trust to care for your children. When we were looking for care for our newborn, it was important to us to not have to stress about the level of care he would receive as well as how his activity would be communicated to us. The staff is nice, friendly, & diligent. The utilization of brightwheel makes communication, payments really easy. I love that we get photos of our son as well as updates throughout the day on diaper changes and bottles. I highly recommend this center for children of all ages.
We are so happy we found NJA. My kids are happy, safe, and loved. All the teachers know my kids names and I always have a good feeling walking in to drop them off each morning. Ms. Deborah and Ms. Princess in the front office are very organized and great with communication. I highly recommend Nanny Jean's!
My 5 year old son attended Nanny Jeans Academy for the last year. I enrolled him in their VPK program and I was shocked at how much he learned everyday. When VPK ended I ended up sending my son full time because he loved his daily routine there so much. The staff was always caring and had excellent communication. They even have an app now that allows you to see their daily activities, photos, and messages from the staff. My son is off to kindergarten now and I’m SO appreciative of the teachers that helped prepare my son for elementary school! I highly recommend this daycare center!
Nanny Jean's is an absolutely phenomenal daycare and VPK Academy. The staff, from top to bottom, all are consummate professionals and represent the kindest, most thoughtful teachers that I've ever encountered. My kids were taken care of and I never had to worry about their care or education. I wholeheartedly recommend Nanny Jean's to any parent looking for a daycare or VPK program for their kid(s).
I was calling around looking for a daycare for my daughter about a year ago and when I called nanny jeans they had one spot open and I took that spot quickly they are awesome and very understanding. They keep you updated with pictures and things that goes on with your child throughout the day. My daughter is now one and she can tell me about 5 things in sign language. They have a learning curriculum for all kids and I love that. Without a doubt i chose the right daycare for my kids. Also very clean. Everyone is treated with respect. They also let you know any little thing that happens with your child. Ms.Deborah and Ms.Princess is absolutely amazing.
