The Antilles Trading Company Pirate Museum offers an exciting experience for history lovers that romanticize the sea.  With over 350 artifacts, from the 17th to 19th centuries, you will be transported back in time to understand how seadogs and pirates lived, worked, fought, and sought their fortunes. You will see historic items not seen anyplace else:

  • Desk from the 19th century wooden battleship, USS Ohio. 
  • 18th & 19th century ship-building tools from the Jones River Shipyard and Dunn & Elliot Sail Loft.
  • British East India Trading Company Blunderbuss Rail Gun and other artifacts from the company's 18th and 19th century operations.
  • 17th century Swashbuckler's Shield.
  • Cannonballs and Penny Pot Inkwell from the estate of the pirate Henry Morgan.
  • Collection of 17th to 19th century Cannons, Cannon Tools and Implements to include authentic Chain Shot.
  • Captain Kidd's Articles of Agreement with Richard, Earl of Bellomont.
  • War of 1812 Ship's Logbooks
  • Sea Desk that belonged to John Manly, Commodore of George Washington's Fleet.
  • 1660 Line Drawing of Sir Francis Drake.
  • Large collection of Maritime Navigation Tools.
  • Piece of gallows rope from the Gallows Point & Execution Dock located on the Palisadoes, Jamaica. 
  • 18th Century Robinette shipwreck cannon possibly belonging to Blackbeard.
  • Large collection of 17th to 19th century pirate weapons to include pikes, hooks, rail guns, cannons, pistols, daggers and swords. 
  • Intriguing assortment historic ship's papers.
  • Paintings and personal effects of notable Ship's Captains.

Learn about American, European, Barbary, Chinese, Black and Female Pirates.  

Read the informative signs or listen to the Audio Tour (2 1/2 hours of information).  Tour includes a 20-minute educational video.  Learn fun facts; Did you know that Frederick Douglass was a Ships Caulker?  

The immersive pirate ship setting, and interactive exhibits feature animatronics and 15 hands on displays. Fire the Cannon, find Davie Jones beating heart and embark on a valiant quest to find pirates booty with the museum's scavenger hunt. Upon completion you will receive your own complementary Pirate Booty.
