The Community Center @ Canaveral City Park
The City of Cape Canaveral Community Center represents a culmination of endeavors, spanning multiple generations, intended to create an inclusive community-gathering place that supports the recreational interests and needs of Cape Canaveral residents of all ages.
This sustainable, state of the art, 24,000 sq. ft. venue will not only promote health and fitness, but offer an array of life-enriching wellness opportunities for residents and visitors alike. It is designed to enhance the quality of life for our residents through a mix of organized, accessible recreational and social programs.
The Community Center features multipurpose spaces for organized youth and adult activities, as well as flexible space to accommodate meetings and private rentals. It contains a high school sized basketball court, lined for various recreational programs, with the ability to transform into a large space for events. Additional amenities include a rock-climbing wall, functional fitness equipment, an indoor walking track and a well-equipped weight room.

The Splash Pad @ Canaveral City Park
Membership to the Community Center is not required to use the Splash Pad.
Splash Pad Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. - Dusk
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday/Federal Holidays: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Times subject to change for weather + maintenance
Splash Pad Rules:
- An adult must accompany children under 12 in the play area.
- No child shall be left unattended at the Splash Pad.
- Splash Pad may close at anytime due to weather or operational concerns.
- Splash pad must be vacated at the first sign of thunder or lightning.
- Do not drink or put water in your mouth and spit.
- This Splash Pad uses treated, recirculated water.
- Food, glass and drinks other than commercially bottled water are not permitted within the Splash Pad area.
- No skateboards, bicycles, scooters or similar equipment allowed in the Splash Pad area.
- Proper attire must be won at all times.
- Footwear is recommended.
- All apparel must be clean prior to entering the Splash Pad areas.
- Infants and toddlers must wear a SWIM diaper.
- Diapers are to be changed in the restroom only.
- No pets allowed inside the Splash Pad area.
- No bathing, soap, detergent or shampoo allowed.
- Shower before entering Splash Pad — a shower is provided adjacent to Splash Pad.
- Users must conduct themselves in a courteous safe and family-oriented manner.
BE COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL OF OTHER VISITORS AND STAFF.
PERSONS VIOLATING COURT RULES OR ENGAGING IN DISORDERLY OR DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE AND MAY LOSE SPLASH PAD OR PARK PRIVILEGES FOR UP TO TWO YEARS.

Things to Know
- This facility is available for limited types of private events & athletic tournaments.
- View the Calendar of recreational programs.
- Alcohol is prohibited at all City facilities without permit. No alcohol permits will be issued for activities or facility rentals at Canaveral City Park or any facility located therein.
- The Still & Motion Photography Application is available in the Document Center.
- On leash dogs are allowed in all City parks. Dogs and pets are not permitted in the Splash Pad area.
- Pursuant to City of Cape Canaveral Code of Ordinances - Section 54-19: It is unlawful to engage in any commercial activity for any consideration within a city park or facility without being authorized or permitted by the city.
