Grades 8-12, Camp 9am-4:30pm, Performance 4:30-5:30pm
The A Cappella Youth Festival - A One-Day Youth Camp is a free vocal camp for grade 8-12. Taught by experienced vocal clinicians, Sean Christopher Stork, Harbor City Harmonizers director and Dr. Misty Martinez, choral director at Cocoa High School. This camp will focus on the skills necessary to work in a tight-knit singing group and will have the opportunity to work on background vocals, blending techniques, harmonizing, and more. Participants will put on a final show from 4:30-5:30 pm to showcase what they learned during the day.
This camp is free, and lunch, snacks and drinks are provided.
A cappella music is one of the most unique music genres and used on contemporary pop, jazz, gospel, barbershop, and many other art music forms. Register early to assure your place among other registrants.
The camp is sponsored by the Sunshine District of the Barbershop Harmony Society, the Gulf to Bay Region 9 of Sweet Adelines International, and Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy.
