 <br />Are you ready to enjoy a fun evening of food and music? Join us at th
 e Suntree Rotary Club’s 20th Annual Great Tastes at Suntree fundraiser at o
 ur new air-conditioned venue – The Oasis at Palm Shores in the Space Coast 
 Association of Realtors building at the corner of Pineda Plaza Way and Wick
 ham Road, Palm Shores.<br /><br />During the evening you will be treated to
  delicious culinary samplings from a variety of local restaurants as they p
 repare their choice of menu items for you to taste - entrees, appetizers an
 d desserts. Some of the restaurants participating so far include Fiesta Azt
 eca, Fresh Market, Grills Riverside, Metro Diner, Urban Prime, Perkins, She
 lls of Melbourne, and 321-Popcorn. These restaurants compete in contests fo
 r best-decorated booth, and best food including the People’s Choice Award –
  so be sure to stop at each table and vote for your favorite.<br /><br />In
  addition to the great food and great live music you can also try your luck
  with our tremendous gift baskets and 50/50 raffles. There will be a variet
 y of themed gift baskets for you to pick and choose. Purchase raffle ticket
 s and place them in the bucket of whichever basket you want to try to win! 
 The 50/50 raffle is where the winning ticket holder gets half the money in 
 the pot.<br /><br />This fundraising event will help raise money for two lo
 cal programs: The Boys & Girls Club of Temple Terrace and Neighbor Up Breva
 rd. The Boys & Girls Club has 40 Clubs in six counties and serves the child
 ren who need us the most. The clubs are located in neighborhoods that, on a
 verage, rank at the 12th percentile for household income and the 71st perce
 ntile for incarceration rates. Club families pay either nothing or a nomina
 l fee for their children to attend. By providing our Club members with acad
 emic support, extracurricular opportunities, and positive adult role models
 , we aim to break the cycle of poverty for future generations.<br /><br /><
 br />The other organization that will be supported with this year’s event i
 s Neighbor Up Brevard which has been helping to create lasting change in ma
 rginalized communities for over 20 years. Their approach to community devel
 opment emphasizes community ownership, empowerment, and development. Progra
 ms include:<br />- The DOCK - a safe haven for school-aged children after s
 chool and during the summer break<br />- Greater Heights Apartment Communit
 y - affordable rental housing for working families and seniors<br />- Gifts
  From The Heart Christmas Shop - a dignity-affirming holiday shopping exper
 ience for families served by a coalition of local service organizations.<br
