The goal of Help Me Grow Florida (HMG) is to promote healthy development for every child in Florida. It is a comprehensive and integrated statewide system designed to address the need for early identification of developmental and/or behavioral concerns, and then to link children and their families to community-based developmental and behavioral services and supports. It is free for families.
A Help Me Grow coordinator is available by calling 2-1-1 to help families with questions or concerns about a child’s behavior or development, as well as to offer connections to and guidance on local assistance. HMG also includes:
Free developmental screening, without wait lists or income limits.
Activities that support health growth and learning.
Community resources, from parenting classes to food pantries.
Referrals for evaluation and early intervention services.
