Van Noordt Education Consulting, LLC utilizes a Structured Literacy program that is explicit and systematic in its approach. The program incorporates direct instruction in phonology and phonological awareness, sound-symbol association, syllable instruction, morphology, syntax, and semantics.
Dyslexia remediation is multi-sensory, using all learning pathways in the brain. It is systematic and cumulative; concepts are progressively built and reviewed. As well as direct instruction, dyslexia remediation is diagnostic. The therapist tailors each lesson to address the students' needs.
Academic Language Therapy is at the therapeutic level, not a tutoring level. The therapist utilizes a great deal of structure and control within the lesson to guide the student to positive responses to strengthen the neural pathways in the brain. Each lesson is intensive and customized for each student.
