Space Coast Birding & Wildlife Festival Young Birders

Forty lucky Young Birders ages 8-17 with their guardians will be treated to a taste of the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival and some fun birding activities at Jetty Park, Cape Canaveral, thanks to a sponsorship by the Canaveral Port Authority. In this free program (with free entry to Jetty Park), participants and their guardians will break into two groups to do either owl pellet dissection or bird box making, alternating with birding along the jetty and beach. Picnic lunch at the pavilion is included.
Afterwards, as an option, visit the Expo Hall at the festival venue, Radisson Resort at the Port, Cape Canaveral, 6 minutes away. If your Young Birder is interested in gulls, stay for the keynote by Amar Ayyash at 6 p.m. Also, there are 9 excellent kids-size binoculars on the Silent Auction donated by KOWA, retail $118, buy-it-now price $75, in case anyone can visit the Expo Hall earlier in the festival.
