MyMakerScape: Learn to Sew

This Learn to Sew class is designed to introduce children aged 7 and up to the basics of using a sewing machine. Learn basic sewing skills and basic sewing terminology.

Bring your own sewing machine or use the ones provided! If you plan to bring your machine, don’t forget to bring your foot pedal and outlet. Please ensure your child brings a regular home sewing machine to class. Toy machines may not fully support the curriculum, but the machines will be available for practice and learning. You do not need to bring anything else, as all the tools and materials will be provided.

During the class, you'll make a drawstring pouch, a simple yet practical project that will help you practice your newfound sewing skills.
