Melbourne Square Kids Club Wildlife Discovery Day

Melbourne Square invites local families to Wildlife Discovery Day, the next installment of its exciting Kids Club. The free, family-friendly event offers a fun opportunity to learn about local wildlife, conservation, and the natural world through engaging educational experiences and hands-on activities from local organizations.
During the event, Brevard County Parks & Recreation will highlight Florida's threatened gopher tortoise and its important role in the ecosystem. Guests can explore educational displays, build keystone arch blocks, play a "What Lives in a Burrow?" game, and create their own gopher tortoise headband. Additionally, the Melbourne City Eco Division will share information about how environmental factors, including water quality and litter, affect local wildlife. Their interactive activities will include coloring pages and books, as well as a fun recycling game that reinforces environmental stewardship.
The Brevard Zoo will also be on-site to present "Adaptations," exploring whether survival is a matter of fitness or nature's unique design. Through biofacts, guests will discover the adaptations animals use to escape predators, become skilled hunters, and survive in some of the world's harshest environments.
Melbourne Square’s Kids Club is a free monthly program designed for children 12 and under to spark laughter, creativity, and memorable family moments.
