Middle School Mixed Media Art Class for Home Schoolers
Suggested Ages 11-14 years
No previous art experience is necessary. Creative Connections welcomes both beginning and experienced young artists who are ready to explore, experiment, and discover where their creativity can take them. Age exceptions may be considered at the instructors discretion.
Creative Connections is an engaging art experience designed specifically for middle school students who are ready to move beyond basic art projects and begin exploring artistic techniques, materials, and creative decision-making in greater depth.
Students will experiment with a wide variety of mediums, including acrylic and watercolor painting, drawing, pastels, clay, printmaking, collage, scratchboard, mixed media, and three-dimensional art. Through guided projects and open-ended creative challenges, students will learn new techniques while discovering how different materials can be combined and used to communicate their own ideas and individual style.
