Calling all creative kids! The FSEC Energy Research Center at the University of Central Florida, is happy to announce that EnergyWhiz (a STEAM event for K-12) is back and will be virtual. But the fun does not stop there! EnergyWhiz will have a virtual exhibit hall, online activities and an exciting new event, the EnergyWhiz T-Shirt Design Contest.
The 2021 Virtual EnergyWhiz competitions are:
1) T-Shirt Design Contest (K-12, College, Adult & Families)
2)Junior Solar Sprint (gr. 4 - 8)
3) Energy Transfer Machine (gr. 3 - 12)
4) Energy Innovations (gr. K - 12 plus college/adult) which includes renewable energy projects in:
Energy Efficient Buildings (including Critter Comfort Cottage type animal habitats)
Water Distillation and Purification
Artistic Demonstration Projects that use renewable energy to power them
Fine Art that promotes renewable energy or climate science

Student's virtual projects will be viewable by other participants, schools and the public during the week of May 3-7 and awards to winners will be announced on May 7th!
