Science and Technology Workshop

The Platinum Coast Amateur Radio Society, Inc. (PCARS) has an exciting opportunity for people to participate in a Youth Tech Beginners’ Workshop. It will be held at our 60th Annual Melbourne Hamfest at the Melbourne Auditorium. This hands-on supervised, one-hour workshop is designed to engage youth in the world of electronics. They will be guided through assembling and soldering their own electronic kit. It's a fun, educational experience that fosters critical thinking and develops technical skills.
Key Workshop Details:
* Age: Open to youth aged 8 to 18. Youth under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
* Cost: None. A free kit will be given to each participant. Admission to the Melbourne Hamfest is also free for youth aged 18 and under. Adults accompanying youth will be charged the $10 admission fee.
* Pre-registration: Required to secure a spot. Please email with the participant’s name(s) and preferred time (9 AM, 10 AM, 11 AM, or 12 PM). Space is limited to the first 45 registrants.
It will be a fantastic way for them to explore tech in a hands-on setting.
